About
Still here. Still curious. Still becoming.
I spent years as a research administrator, the kind of job where every day had a system and every system had a spreadsheet. Then I retired — and had to figure out who I was without one.
Turns out, I already knew. I just hadn't had time to remember.
My Cherokee grandmother taught me bead crochet at her kitchen table. My Irish mother taught me that humor gets you through almost anything. Both of them are still in my hands every time I bead — and in my voice every time I sit down to write or film.

Eight years ago I left Maryland for Tallahassee, Florida, with my two dogs — Ragnar, a Cane Corso who thinks he's a lapdog, and Emma, a Maltipoo who knows she's in charge.

This space is where I write about what nobody tells you about the second half of life — the good, the awkward, the surprisingly funny. It's where my beadwork lives too, evolved from jewelry into full sculpture, rooted in techniques passed down through my family.

Still here. Still curious. Still becoming. I'm glad you're here for it.
